Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a member of NSFT or a NSFT team for the Safer, Kinder, Better Awards. We received 600 nominations for this year's awards.

About our new awards programme, Chief Executive Caroline Donovan said; “While we know there is much work ahead of us, it’s right that we reflect on and celebrate both individually and collectively everyone's hard work, achievements and milestones this year. Good luck everyone and thank you for all you do to support those who need our care and each other.”

Improving Health

Health Inequalities Award

This award for individuals or teams recognises innovative and creative initiatives which aim to reduce unfair and avoidable differences in health across Norfolk and/or Suffolk. Entries should demonstrate improvements in access, experiences and outcomes for service users, carers or communities. Data and/or insights demonstrating measurable impacts should be included in your entries.

Partnership Award

Working better together has the potential to improve quality, resulting in truly joined up, service user-centred care. This award will recognise  individuals or teams  who have built relationships within and outside of NSFT to ensure we are continually improving and delivering the best possible care for our service users. Finalists may have examples of working with our local constabulary, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), local authorities, the voluntary sector or partner acute trusts.

Unsung Hero Award

This award is for an  individual  who has shown a clear commitment to our Trust, lives our values and is driven by our vision to provide Safer, Kinder and Better care. They will have demonstrated significant achievement, which is having a positive effect for service users and their colleagues, but will often be the last person to broadcast their own success.

Improving Care

Clinical Team of the Year Award

This award recognises a clinical team who has performed ‘over and above’ the standard expected and has demonstrated consistently high quality clinical care, while achieving the highest standards of safety. They have involved people in their own care and worked closely with service users, carers and/or families to achieve better outcomes.

Participation Award

This award recognises the contributions of an  individual  service user, carer or volunteer who has given their time freely to make a positive impact on our services and those that use them. They have been open to discuss barriers and contribute positive suggestions for improvement and change within our Trust.

Haley Gosling Support in Recovery Award

This award is for an  individual staff member or a team  who can demonstrate how they have utilised and embedded the principles of recovery and recovery focused practises into their everyday work and interventions with service users and their supporters. This could be an individual piece of work, a QI project, service redesign or new initiative.

Improving Culture

Educator of the Year Award

This award is for an  individual or team  who have delivered outstanding learning and development opportunities for others. Finalists may include medics, nurses, psychologists, AHP’s, social workers or other professions who have facilitated high-quality training for our doctors, teams or colleagues who have generously mentored clinical placements, or staff who have created great learning environments for all. These people are known as committed, passionate and truly understand the importance of lifelong learning.

Inclusion Award

This award recognises a  team or individual  who has championed inclusion within their area of expertise. They have embodied our Trust values, supporting service users or colleagues to be more inclusive. They embrace uniqueness and diversity within everything they do, and actively support those around them to be their authentic selves.

Corporate Team of the Year Award

This award is for the team that has worked together effectively and efficiently to improve the service that they offer to service users, partners or internal customers. This team has put service users at the heart of everything they do, have set high standards and have been open and flexible to change.

EVI (Efficiency, Value and Improvement) Award

This award is for an individual or team who has pioneered or championed an innovative idea or project – large or small – that has led to significant efficiency or value improvements, and ultimately resulted in improved outcomes for those we care for. Nominations should demonstrate how this individual or team has proactively got involved with this crucial work and inspired others to think about efficiencies that can be made.

Innovation Award

This award celebrates individuals or teams who have developed and embraced an innovative idea or project – large or small – that has led to significant improvements in service delivery, quality, productivity or performance. Innovations could range from digital developments to improvements in core processes. Nominations should include evidence of how innovations have led to improved outcomes for those we care for.
