  • The National Autistic Society (NAS) has a useful website.  Here you can find information about autism and many related topics.
  • Ambitious about Autism has lots of information about autism and related subjects. 
    • There is lots of information about work experience and employment
    • They have an Autism Exchange programme, for autistic people aged 16 – 25, with opportunities for paid work experience across a range of settings. 
    • They have also created a toolkit for young people withlots of information for interviewers, and interviewees, also a ‘toolkits’ section where you can download toolkits for young people, employers and others.

  • Book: Managing with Asperger Syndrome by Malcolm Johnson. Quick Overview This insider account provides much-needed information about a subject of increasing interest: people with Asperger Syndrome working in management positions. Johnson provides useful examples and guidance on adapting to the workplace and coping with the pressures and demands of professional roles. 
  • Book: Helping Adults with Asperger Syndrome Get & Stay Hired, Career Coaching Strategies for Professionals and Parents of Adults on the Autism Spectrum by Barbara Bissonnette. Quick Overview: Written for professionals and parents, this book offers employment strategies to support individuals with Asperger Syndrome (Autism Spectrum Disorder) into fulfilling and long-lasting careers. It provides a primer on how people with Asperger Syndrome think and teaches coaching techniques to help with job hunting and workplace challenges. 

  • Book: Autism Equality in the Workplace, Removing Barriers and Challenging Discrimination by Janine Booth. Foreword by John McDonnell MP. Quick Overview - People with autism often find themselves excluded from working life. This practical handbook lays out reasonable, achievable ways in which working environments can be adapted and autistic people included as valuable members of the workforce.  

  • Book: An Employer’s Guide to Managing Professionals on the Autism Spectrum - Marcia Scheiner (Integrate Autism Employment Advisors) with Joan Bogden, illustrated by Meron Philo. This is a comprehensive reference guide for managers and colleagues of people with Asperger's Syndrome (AS). The book outlines the day-to-day workplace challenges faced by those with AS and then provides practical strategies to solve them in a respectful way. This book will help anyone engage with and support co-workers with AS to ensure mutual success.
