Winner
Harmful Sexual Behaviour
(HSB) team
CFYP Norfolk and Waveney
The Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) team has worked hard to increase professionals’ understanding of working with children and young people who are displaying harmful sexual behaviour. Their work helps them to effectively manage risk, support young people to make positive changes to their future, minimise school exclusions and placement breakdowns, and reduce the number of first time entrants into the criminal justice system for HSB.
This has been achieved through the team developing and delivering an extensive training package. To date, they have trained more than 3,000 professionals, with feedback being overwhelmingly positive. The team has developed and established a well-used consultation service, available for all professionals working with children and young people in Norfolk and Waveney, offering advice and support to more than 1,200 professionals. In the last reporting quarter, 100% of those who attended consultations and provided feedback, stated that they would recommend the service to a colleague.
