Liz Jupp – Public Governor, Suffolk

Term of office started 1 February 2025

I worked in the NHS as a psychiatrist in Suffolk for more than 30 years until I retired in 2024.  

My area of work has mostly been in the community with younger and working age adults. I worked in the Assertive Outreach Team and Chilton Houses until 2013. I then worked in community mental health teams in Suffolk until March 2024.

The care of people with severe and enduring mental illness, such as schizophrenia and psychosis, has always been my area of interest. I have been a vocal advocate for improving care for this group of people in our community. I am committed to helping NSFT improve the quality of care for people with enduring psychosis.
