Mental Health and You

People with an interest in mental health are being given a valuable insight into the support which is available locally, tips on looking after themselves and the opportunity to listen to other people’s experiences in a new podcast.

Mental Health and You, which is put together by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT), has just launched for a third season.

Each episode explores a different subject, such as looking after your wellbeing, getting a good night’s sleep, managing anxiety and participating in the way mental health services are developed.

Other subjects which will be covered in season three include Tourette’s syndrome, the courses available through NSFT’s Recovery College and the work of the research and development team.

The podcast is now available more widely than ever before, and can be downloaded from 12 platforms, including Spotify, Apple podcasts, Amazon music and Google podcasts. New episodes are released every fortnight, while the previous two seasons are also available.

Stuart Richardson, Chief Executive at NSFT, said: “These fantastic podcasts are essential listening for people for use our services, healthcare staff and anyone with an interest in mental health. We are delighted that they are now easier to access than ever before and hope that people will find them useful and informative.”
