Ryan Taaffe-Fowle – Public Governor, Norfolk

Born and raised in Norfolk, I have interacted with the NSFT on several levels. This includes through friends and family using the service, working for the NHS and referring to the Trust. Through these experiences, I have developed a passion for driving standards and accessibility for the Trust. This has given me a great range of experience to represent the public in doing so.

I have worked for the NHS in various areas since I was 18. These range from working for the ambulance service to hospital wards. I am employed as an Operations Manager in a Norfolk GP surgery. This has given me the ability to show my caring nature and be an accountable team member in line with trust values. I conduct Learning Disability and Severe Mental Illness annual reviews. This gives me frequent and valued time with service users and carers. It also gives me a solid platform to meet with the public and be the voice required in this role.
